Patronal Festival and Burns Lunch
on 22 January 2012
There was an inspiring Service at the Gryphon as we celebrated the life of St Paul and a number of people spoke about how their lives had been changed by their Christian faith. Around sixty people of all ages then went to the Burns Lunch and enjoyed haggis (or shepherd's pie), cranachan and other delights. Scottish dancing followed, organised by Mike Moreton, and a happy time was finished up with cups of tea all round.

The Christmas Day Lunch at St Paul's
was enjoyed by around fifty people, mostly from Sherborne. There were delicious canapes, ham, turkey with stuffing, bread sauce and cranberry sauce + Christmas pudding and brandy butter and/or fruit salad and cream. This was followed by coffee and a Christmas quiz and then tea and Christmas Cake.

We are very grateful to all those who contributed to the festivities, and especially to Margaret Balfour who supplied presents, to Sainsburys who supplied two hams, and to the vegetable stall in Culverhayes.
